This policy explains how TradeReady ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and services. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

TradeReady provides websites and local SEO services to UK trade and service businesses. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@trade-ready.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What data we collect

• Enquiry and onboarding data: name, email, phone number, business name, trade, service area, and any details you share through our forms.
• Payment data: when you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited billing details (such as name and the last four digits of a card). We do not store full card numbers.
• Account data: if you use our client dashboard, authentication is handled by Clerk, which stores your login credentials and session data on our behalf.
• Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address and device or browser type, collected by our hosting provider.

How we use your data

• To respond to enquiries and provide the service you have requested.
• To build, host, and manage your website and SEO campaign.
• To take payment and manage your subscription.
• To contact you about your account, your site, and support.

Lawful basis

We process your data on the basis of contract (to deliver the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and respond to enquiries), and consent where required, for example for non-essential cookies.

Who we share data with

We use trusted third parties to run our service. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Stripe payment processing.
• Clerk account authentication.
• Netlify website hosting and form handling.
• Airtable storing client and project records.
• Google Google Business Profile management for your business.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and, where you use it, to keep you signed in to your dashboard. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How long we keep data

We keep your data for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to processing, and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@trade-ready.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
